/g/ vs /d/ Minimal pairs
Other Download Formats
PowerPoint Fixed (Plain)
Each page of your material is set as a background image on a PowerPoint slide. This allows you to draw on the page as well as move objects onto the page. Great for Telepractice!
PowerPoint Fixed (w/Tokens)
Same as above, but with some of our most common token symbols. Keep the ones you want and delete the rest to make an interactive game for remote play.
PowerPoint Moveable
Each page of your material is placed on a separate slide as a moveable picture. Rearrange and resize as you see fit.
Note: All PowerPoint formats are tested with Google Slides
This material was created to teach the /g/ sound in a hierarchy. It begins with teaching sound in isolation with mouth visual cues along with a visual cue of "gulping" sound to help child tilt back head to facilitate natural occurance of /g/. These cues are repeated on every page to help maintain visuals. In addition, the bottom has a row of stars for child/ST to touch for each correct sound to progress to next level/show progress. Only outlined pictures chosen for child to color pictures themselves for more motivation to task.
The next pages show an increasing hierarchy of /g/.
Initial easy: g with an open syllable and back vowels. (Note: helpful visuals on top, stars to note progress on bottom).
Initial Medium: g with closed syllables and back vowels with no front sounds. (Note: repeated helpful visuals on top, stars to note progress on bottom).
Initial Hard: g with front vowels/consonants. (Note: repeated helpful visuals on top, stars to note progress on bottom).
I hope you enjoy using this tool to help facilitate /g/ in your client!
